Creating a blog

Once you have logged into the site you should see a menu system on the right that looks like this:

To get to the Blog Page, Click on the Pages Link and scroll down to the Secondary Navigation section:

Click on The Veritas Blog

You will then see a new menu that looks like this:

To create a new Blog post click on the + sign at the top of the menu, this will open the blog creation window:

Title: This should be a short heading, I would advise no more than 6 words to keep it short and memorable.

Content: First add an image (see the Photo Resource links below), to do this click on the insert bar.

Then choose Image:

Insert the image using the popup window:

Once the image is loaded.  Then add a Text Box and add your text content, once this is complete (or not) you can choose one of two options:

To save a Draft Copy, click on the SAVE button, this will be displayed in the main Blog area with a draft note on it.

If your blog post is ready to publish, then click on SAVE AND PUBLISH this publishes the blog post on the website and also adds this to RSS feed so the dlvr.it service can post to the LinkedIn Company page.

Photo Resources

Here is a list of good photo sites that are free and the license allows for commercial redistribution:

https://unsplash.com/ - Very arty but very high quality images

https://search.creativecommons.org/ - has links to a number of CC licensed sites, I use this to search Pixabay, this is a very good picture site that aggregates content from a number of sites.

https://www.goodfreephotos.com/ - not as good but still some good photos

http://www.freepik.com/ - free but owned by a paid service and trys to push you to that.
